Essential Job Functions:
Review and evaluate all substitute applications.
Interview substitute candidates for qualification into the substitute hiring process.
Conduct orientation sessions for all substitutes.
Assist with the completion of the hiring process for substitutes.
Use technology for organization, communication, and documentation.
Work with other CCPS departments to provide additional, elective training for substitutes, such as Special Education.
Craft and distribute refresher courses to active substitutes as needed.
Coordinate and assist with SmartFind Training to new staff and administrator users.
Communicate and work collaboratively and confidentially with administrators.
Assist in gathering and distributing information and data to enhance instruction to CCPS students.
Assists with job fairs and other recruiting events.
Assists with creating marketing recruitment materials.
Runs various data reports.
Perform other duties as deemed necessary.

Contacts:
Contacts are regularly and frequently made at all organizational levels within and outside the school system to explain programs and policies and to recruit for substitute and temporary positions. Contacts are on behalf of the school system and may obligate the organization to a course of action. Actions impact the entire system; position requires professional judgment.
Supervision:
N/A
Decision Making:
Performs majority of work tasks independently, exercising professional judgment. Seeks supervisor’s advice and guidance in unusual situations.
Formal Policy-Setting Responsibilities:
Makes recommendations for policy revisions as related to recruiting and retaining substitutes. Makes recommendations relating to the third-party software.

Work Environment:
The employee regularly works in an office environment. The noise level in the work environment is quiet to moderate.
Bachelor’s degree required. Teaching experience or human resources expertise preferred. Has demonstrated interpersonal and leadership skills for working effectively with colleagues, administrators, and students. Has demonstrated commitment to personal professional growth and learning. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
