Success Coach TRIO

Are you passionate about helping students reach their academic, career, and personal goals? WSU Tech is seeking a TRIO Success Coach to join our Student Support Services team. This role focuses on guiding program participants toward success in college and beyond by providing individualized support, workshops, and enrichment opportunities.

• Compensation: $23.01 /hr
• Worksite Location: South Campus

Overview/Job Summary:

The Success Coach for TRIO is responsible for providing guidance and support to students in the TRIO program, ensuring that they have the resources and assistance needed to navigate their educational journey successfully.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will vary, but are not limited to:

• Provide academic, career, personal, and transfer advising to TRIO participants
• Lead engaging workshops on topics like financial literacy, study skills, and resume building
• Assist students with FAFSA, scholarship searches, and connecting to community resources
• Coordinate cultural enrichment activities, university visits, and mentoring programs
• Monitor student progress and connect them to campus and community resources
• Maintain accurate documentation and records for program compliance
• Participate in recruitment and selection of program participants

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Counseling, or related field (Master’s preferred)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in TRIO programs, student services, advising, or retention work (preferred)
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and comfort with learning new software
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and build positive relationships with students from diverse backgrounds
