JOB DESCRIPTION: Substance Use Disorder Recovery Mentor

TIME COMMITMENT: 24-32 Hours

PAY: $17-$19/hr

We are looking for a substance use disorder specialist with talent or experience in treatment, and leadership.  Telos is developing a specialty team dedicated to helping students with more acute SUD needs. The Seven Challenges will be the framework that guides treatment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Participate in healthy recreation with clients
• Form inspiring relationship of trust that encourage healthy living
• Primarily responsible for the safety and supervision of students
• Helps clients implement therapy skills in day-to-day living
• Transportation of students
• Communicate and document observations with clients
• Work to assist clients with treatment goals

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Experience in treating youth and young adults
• Comfortable with a team approach
• Willingness to learn Telos systems and approach
• Exceptional relationship skills and genuine care and concern for others
• A supportive view of the LGBTQ+ community
• Must have ability to hold appropriate boundaries
• Experience in the residential treatment industry
• Experience in recovery work
