The following position is to join our RTX Corporate, Enterprise Services team

RTX is looking for a Summer Intern for our Operational Technology Security Solutions (OTSS) team. The ideal candidate will be familiar with strategic roadmaps and requirements for technology implementations. This individual should have basic understanding of IT and OT cybersecurity operations, practices, and regulations. The ideal candidate will be able to help focus OTSS efforts to achieve maximum impact while further enabling the adoption of the OTSS strategic vision.

Primary Responsibilities:

Learn about RTX cybersecurity capabilities.

Support deployment of new cybersecurity and overall process improvements.

Assist in the development, review, and enforcement of RTX cybersecurity policies and procedures.

Gain familiarity with the information security compliance framework and specific controls and how they apply to a cloud environment.

Gain understanding of how the audit process works including evidence gathering, audit meetings and follow-ups.

Required Qualifications

Currently enrolled in a college program with a focus on computer science, engineering, cybersecurity, information security, or a related field.

Basic knowledge of basic cybersecurity principles and cloud concepts (e.g., Azure/AWS).

Familiarity with common security tools and technologies.

Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Basic knowledge of networking protocols and technologies.

Familiarity with security frameworks and standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).

Relevant certifications (e.g., Security Plus, CISSP, Cloud related certs,) a plus.

Education: Candidates must be enrolled in a Bachelors degree program in the field of computer science, engineering, data science/mathematics, cybersecurity, information security, or related field. Please upload unofficial transcript with your application

Work Authorization Status:

U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
