Summer Camp 2025

Berean Christian School is seeking Summer Camp counselors to help run our annual BCS Camp Bulldog. Camp Bulldog runs from May 27, 2025 through July 25, 2025. Summer Camp counselors will work as part of a dynamic team to provide a safe, fun, and enriching environment for campers. Staff members are expected to engage in various activities, ensuring that each child experiences the joy of camp while developing new skills, making new friends, and fostering a sense of community. This role requires enthusiasm, a positive attitude, and a commitment to the overall well-being of campers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and assist in daily camp activities, such as sports, arts and crafts, swimming, nature hikes, team-building exercises, and other recreational activities.
  
  
  • Supervise campers during activities, ensuring safety and engagement.
  
  
  • Encourage campers' participation and help them learn new skills in a positive, encouraging way.
  
  
  • Prepare and organize materials and equipment for various activities and ensure everything is in good working order. 
  
  
  • Supervise a group of campers, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
  
  
  • Provide constant supervision during free time, structured activities, and meal times
  
  
  • Monitor and address camper behavior, providing guidance and support as needed.
  
  
  • Foster an inclusive and positive environment where all campers feel safe, valued, and respected.
  
  
  • Report any incidents, accidents, or concerns to the camp director or designated supervisor promptly.
    
  
  
  • Work closely with other camp staff members to coordinate activities and ensure smooth operations.
  
  
  • Be flexible and ready to step in wherever needed to ensure the success of camp operations.
  
  
  
  

Candidates must have a passion for serving God in the context of camp-based programming. A relationship with Jesus Christ and viewing your teaching position as a ministry is essential. Berean Christian School is the largest ministry of Grace Fellowship, and as such candidates must be a regular attending member in good standing at a church of “like-faith”.
