Job Description - Summer Camp Counselor

About the Role:

We are seeking enthusiastic and energetic individuals to join our team as Summer Camp Counselor at Overtime Athletics DMV. OTA Counselors leads children through a variety of activities including group gym games, arts & crafts, outdoor water play, themed activities, and more. This is a full time position during the summer, working with children ages 6-13 years of age.

Responsibilities:

Supervise and engage campers in various sports, arts & crafts, stem and other group recreational activities

Instruct campers on the rules and instructions for each activity

Ensure the safety and well-being of all campers

Provide positive reinforcement and encouragement to campers

Communicate effectively with campers, parents, and fellow staff members

Requirements:

Prior experience working with children in a camp or recreational setting

Ability to lead and organize group activities

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Passion for sports and fitness

Background check required and CPR/First Aid certification highly recommended

Overtime Athletics DMV has been providing quality youth sports and enrichment programs in the Northern Virginia area for over 10 years. Our enrichment programs introduces the fundamentals of 20 different sports in a non-competitive environment to combine fitness with fun. Compensation: $14.00 - $18.00 per hour
