Summer Camp Tennis Coach

Position: Summer Camp Tennis Instructor (Must be 17 years old)

Job Overview: We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Tennis Instructor for our summer camp program. This part-time position will involve teaching tennis to campers of various ages and skill levels, fostering a love for the sport while ensuring a fun, safe, and engaging environment.

Instruction:

- Conduct tennis lessons for campers aged 8-16 in a group setting.

- Tailor lessons to accommodate different skill levels, from beginners to advanced players.

 Curriculum Development:

 - Assist in designing engaging lesson plans that promote skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship.  

Safety and Supervision:

 - Ensure the safety of all participants during tennis activities and adhere to camp safety protocols.

- Supervise campers during practice sessions and ensure proper conduct on and off the court.

Motivation and Support:

 - Encourage campers to develop their tennis skills and promote a positive and inclusive atmosphere.

- Provide constructive feedback and recognize individual achievements.

Communication:

 - Communicate effectively with campers, parents, and camp staff regarding progress and any relevant updates.

 Qualifications:

 - Previous experience of teaching tennis or coaching, preferably in a camp or recreational setting.

- Strong knowledge of tennis techniques and rules of the game. - Excellent interpersonal skills and a passion for working with children.

- Current CPR and First Aid certification.

- Ability to work flexible hours during the summer season.

Work Environment:

 - This position will be outdoors on the tennis courts, requiring physical activity, including standing, walking, and demonstrating techniques.

- A supportive team atmosphere where creativity and initiative are encouraged.

 Compensation:

- Competitive hourly pay based on experience.
