Are you a natural leader who loves working with kids? We Rock the Spectrum - Eagan is looking for upbeat and responsible Summer Program Leads to help guide and support our inclusive summer programs for children with disabilities.

At We Rock the Spectrum, we create a welcoming, sensory-safe environment where kids of all abilities can play, grow, and thrive. Our summer program includes sensory play, crafts, group games, and activities that make each week exciting and engaging.

About the Role

As a Summer Program Lead, you’ll take on a leadership role in supporting participants and coaches. You’ll help run activities, monitor group dynamics, and jump in to problem-solve when needed. You’ll work closely with our team to make sure each day runs smoothly, safely, and with a whole lot of fun!

This role is perfect for those with prior experience working with kids, leading teams, or studying education, special education, or recreation.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and facilitate daily activities including crafts, games, and sensory play
• Monitor participant groups and support counselors during the day
• Problem-solve minor issues and help manage transitions smoothly
• Support and guide counselors to maintain a fun, structured environment
• Ensure the safety, engagement, and inclusion of all children
• Assist with setup, cleanup, and maintaining a clean and welcoming space

What We’re Looking For

• Experience working with children (camp, childcare, education, etc.)
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Friendly, patient, and adaptable attitude
• Confidence in leading small groups and engaging with kids of all abilities
• Must be reliable, organized, and a great team player

Program Dates & Hours

8:30 AM – 1:30 PM on the following weeks:

• June 9–13
• June 23–27
• July 7–11
• July 21–25
• August 4–8
• August 18–22

Mandatory Training: Saturday, June 8th

Applicants should be available for at least 5 out of the 6 program weeks

Additional hours may be available based on experience
