Summer Reading Program Teacher Assistant | 2025

Program Dates: Monday-Thursday, onsite 7:45am-1:15pm

Compensation: $120/daily

Responsibilities:

This Charlotte Lab School summer teacher assistant position will have the following responsibilities in support of Lab’s vision:

• Report to Summer Program Director and Summer Program Teachers


• Work directly with students with unique learning needs (i.e. behavior needs, EC/504/EL students, etc.)


• Assist teachers with academic and/or enrichment courses during the summer program


• Assist teachers with progress monitoring and final reading assessments


• Provide support in instructing and monitoring students in the use of learning materials


• Operates and cares for equipment used in the classroom for instructional purposes.


• Assist teachers in administering Read to Achieve tests OR EOCs at the end of the program

Candidate MUST:

• Demonstrate experience in, and passion for, working with diverse populations;
