Our Ultimate Sports Camp gives young athletes the opportunity to play and improve their skills in a variety of sports, including soccer, basketball, flag football, kickball, and more, while emphasizing teamwork, sportsmanship, and active fun.
Job Overview:
We are seeking energetic, responsible, and enthusiastic Ultimate Sports Camp Counselors to lead campers in multi-sport activities, skill-building drills, and team-based games. This position is ideal for individuals who love sports, enjoy working with kids, and have experience in coaching, teaching, or mentoring.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and instruct campers in various sports, including but not limited to soccer, basketball, flag football, kickball, and relay races.
- Ensure a fun, safe, and positive camp environment for all participants.
- Teach the fundamentals of different sports, including rules, techniques, and teamwork strategies.
- Lead warm-ups, drills, and games tailored to different skill levels.
- Foster teamwork, sportsmanship, and a love for physical activity.
- Assist with camp setup, cleanup, and equipment management.
- Provide encouragement and constructive feedback to campers.
- Monitor camper behavior and ensure adherence to camp rules and safety guidelines.
- Communicate with parents, fellow counselors, and camp directors as needed.
- Act as a role model, demonstrating enthusiasm, respect, and leadership.
Qualifications:
- Passion for sports and youth development.
- Prior experience in coaching, teaching, or working with children preferred.
- Basic understanding of multiple sports and game rules (playing experience is a plus).
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work outdoors and be active for extended periods.
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Must pass a background check.
