Superintendent

Jeff Asbell Excavating & Trucking, Inc., a division of Asbell Companies, is currently looking to hire a Superintendent with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in leading and managing construction projects.  Successful candidates must be able to efficiently schedule and manage manpower, be self-motivated and organized, work extended hours and be willing to travel.  Candidates must be well diversified and willing to learn and grow in new work opportunities.

Duties:

• Schedule and manage employees


• Must be able to read plans and specifications


• Execute Purchase Orders and Change Orders effectively


• Plan and execute a job effectively and efficiently


• Follows all safety procedures


• Provides clear and helpful directions to laborers


• Record field notes as requested


• Accurately report employee time


• Safeguard employer equipment, inspecting, cleaning and greasing as needed

Requirements:

• 10-hour OSHA


• MEP and/or Civil experience mandatory


• Proficient in blueprint reading and project layout


• Ability to communicate effectively with others; able to clearly lead/direct operations involving multiple pieces of equipment; can learn and retain new skills


• Valid driver's license


• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen


• Some travel is to be expected and may require overnight travel, weekends and overtime.
