Superintendent - Luxury Home Construction
Ivey Design Build is a full-service luxury construction company specializing in residential and commercial spaces with a focus on creating the ultimate experience for all our customers. Whether we are building, designing, or a combination of the two, our clients can expect a collaborative and team-oriented dynamic with the utmost integrity. Our areas of expertise include new construction, residential and commercial re-models, high-rises, office interiors, and second homes in South Florida.
We currently have an opportunity for a dynamic individual to join our team with previous superintendent luxury construction experience.
**Only qualified applicants with Construction Superintendent experience will be considered. **
Primary Functions & Job Specific Responsibilities
1. Develop and maintain site logistics plan in accordance with project schedule.
2. Effectively manage, monitor, direct, and coordinate daily on-site supervision of field labor force operations within multiple job sites.
3. Enforce company policies and procedures to identify and mitigate risk for subcontractor and vendor performance.
4. Coordinate materials and equipment delivery with vendors and suppliers.
5. Cultivate strong relationships with clients, vendors, and subcontractors.
6. Create 2- Week schedules for workers and subcontractors, ensuring all activities take place on or ahead of scheduled dates.
7. Coordinate subcontractors, perform quality control & safety checks, ensure job site cleanliness & organization.
8. Prepare and submit Daily Reports comprising detailed notes and photos.
9. Report any inconsistencies between the plans and on-site work by generating Request for Information (RFI) documents.
10. Attend and participate in project meetings, including subcontractor meetings.
11. Identify changes in scope or differing conditions and assist Project coordinator to secure appropriate change orders for project cost and time.
12. Ensure all materials, equipment, and installations adhere to approved submittals and contract documents.
13. Ensure OSHA safety protocols are practiced at all times.
Job Qualifications and Requirements
1. 5 years’ experience minimum as a construction superintendent in high end residential settings.
2. Fluency in English, oral and written mandatory.
3. Bilingual (conversational Spanish) required.
4. Competency to read and understand drawings, specifications, contracts, and construction plans.
5. Strong computer skills and technology proficiency (Microsoft office, Fieldwire, Smartsheet, Email etc.)
6. Ability to multitask with attention to detail in a deadline driven environment.
7. Customer Service oriented with excellent verbal and written communication.
8. Proven time management, organization, and problem-solving skills.
9. OSHA certification preferred.
10. Clean driving record
