Superintendent

The Job Details:

·         Provide leadership to the efficient coordination and execution of workflow throughout the warehouse, consistently keeping safety, sanitation, cost controls, productivity, accuracy, team environment, and customer satisfaction in line with facility goals.

·         Build and maintain strong working relationships with staff, upholding company culture and core values, and fostering a positive team environment.

·         Maximize all warehouse activities to meet financial goals, providing recommendations to management for operational and capital improvements.

·         Ensure that all warehouse sanitation, safety, and security activities are consistently performed within the highest USCS, OSHA and other government compliance, and industry standards.

·         Continuously improve efficiency labor standards through coaching, providing feedback, and training

·         Manage any incident, injury, or near- miss, and perform follow-up investigations and log them into our safety tracking program.

·          Serve as the point of escalation for warehouse-related issues, troubleshooting and resolving matters across departments.

·         Act as a liaison to build positive working relationships at all levels, leading and communicating effectively to enhance individual and team performance.

·         Provide hands-on leadership training and development for the ongoing development of the assigned personnel and teams.

·         Assist with processing invoices, claims, and freight charges when needed.

·         Maintain high standards of warehousing practices, including food safety, customer SOPs, inventory accuracy, and ensure readiness for inspections.

·         Direct corrective action processes and work through interpersonal issues.

·         Oversee inventory control functions and procedures, including cycle counts, product rotation and recall, training, customer claims and requests, and record keeping.

·         Maximize the utilization of all USCS warehouse support computer system applications and tools, including RF equipment, making recommendations for continuous improvement.

·         Troubleshoot issues in the warehouse and work with a range of departments to resolve issues.

·         Approve timecards, assist with setting schedules, and approve time off requests.

·         Conduct performance reviews of their team, providing constructive feedback and growth opportunities.

·         Participate in the hiring process of new warehouse employees.

·         Perform any additional tasks as assigned by the Operations or General Manager, acting on their behalf when needed.

·         Carry out Warehouse Supervisor/Lead Supervisor duties as required by business demands.

What We Are Looking For:

Education

•      Required: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent

•      Preferred: 2+ years of college

Experience

•      Minimum of 2-3 years Team Lead/Supervisor experience required

•   Warehouse Supervision and operations, preferably in a food or temperature-controlled environment

•      Warehouse computer applications including MS Office Suite

•      Customer service oriented.

•      Planning, organizing, professional written and oral communication, problem solving, decision making, excellent mathematical skills.

•      Must be able to consistently lead others to take positive action.

·         Effective communication, vision, and hearing are essential for safety and productivity.

·         Operate scanners, tablets, radios, phones, computers, and other essential warehouse equipment as required.

·         Additional work hours may be requested by management to help manage employee production, projects, and or special events.

·         Operate a registered motor vehicle if apart of daily tasks.

·         Engage in frequent personal interaction and communication.

·         Possess strong arithmetic and reading skills.

·         Follow verbal instructions, written instructions, and company policies.

·         Be a self-starter, able to work independently and coordinate with others.

·         Thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing stress and meeting productivity guidelines.
