Superintendent - Positive Work Culture

Currently, we are looking for a superintendent who can manage an industrial PEMB facility expansion. It is an active campus (renovation/addition) so effective communication is critical. We have a critical schedule to maintain, and safety and quality will also be a key part of our operations. We would like to have someone who has experience in multiple areas of construction (Industrial, structural steel facilities, health care, higher ed). Multi-Family experience is a bonus, but with the market in Columbus booming in that sector we are not looking to entertain a bidding war as we do some of that work, but it's not our primary book of business.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Superintendent at our Columbus, OH location. The Superintendent will be responsible for overseeing construction projects and supervising personnel to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and within budget. The Superintendent will report directly to the Operations Manager and must be able to manage multiple activities/tasks and sequences of work simultaneously. They will be responsible to work with an onsite project manager and oversee a foreman who will support the Superintendent. They will be responsible for weekly trade coordination meetings.

Qualifications

• Experience in commercial construction management

• Knowledge of construction materials, methods, and processes

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents

• Trade coordination of multiple subcontractors and suppliers.

• Strong, effective, communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills

• Ability to manage and supervise personnel

• Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or a related field is preferred

• Certifications such as OSHA 30 and First Aid/CPR are preferred

• 5 years experience in a similar role
