Job Description - Supervising Probate Attorney

About Us:

The Law Office of Bryan Fagan is a firm that excels in family, estate planning & probate, and criminal law matters. We have (5) offices in the Houston area, (1) office in Austin, Dallas, San Antonio and more offices on the way!

The Supervising Attorney plays a pivotal role in our legal team, overseeing probate attorneys providing essential guidance and support to our attorneys. Responsibilities include conducting monthly case reviews, monitoring billing accuracy, and ensuring case progress through consistent meetings with assigned attorneys. Join us in this dynamic role to lead, mentor, and contribute to the success of our legal practice.

  • Juris Doctor (JD) Degree: Valid JD degree and licensed attorney in the relevant jurisdiction.
  • Legal Experience: Minimum 5-10 years of legal practice experience with expertise in estate planning, probate and guardianship or the area they are supervising.
  • Supervisory Experience: Proven experience supervising and mentoring associate attorneys.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to convey legal concepts effectively.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational abilities for caseload management, billing oversight, and performance tracking.
  • Leadership Skills: Demonstrated leadership capabilities to motivate and guide a team of attorneys.
  • Professional Development: Commitment to ongoing legal education and professional growth.
  • Ethical Standards: Adherence to high ethical and professional standards in the practice of law.
  • Client-Centric Approach: Dedication to providing exceptional client service and maintaining client relationships.
  • Training Proficiency: Ability to design and deliver effective training programs for attorneys and staff.
