Supervisor

Job Summary:

CYNWAVE Solutions is seeking Supervisor to join our growing team at Central Arkansas Veteran Healthcare System (CAVHS).  The Supervisor will play a critical role in managing and coordinating the cleaning and maintenance of various facilities, including public areas, canteens, restrooms, drinking fountains, hospital corridors, outer buildings, and the parking deck. This individual will be responsible for leading a team of cleaning staff, ensuring that all tasks are performed efficiently and according to established protocols. This position is contingent upon contract award.

Qualifications/Certifications:

• Must be able to effectively communicate with staff, clients, and management through verbal and written communication.


• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating procedures, and maintenance instructions.


• Two years of experience overseeing janitorial operations, managing cleaning staff, ensuring quality control, and maintaining compliance with health and safety standards.


• Experience in scheduling, training, and evaluating janitorial personnel is required.


• Must hold a current Certified Health Care Environmental Services Technician (CHEST) certification from the Association for the Health Care Environment (AHE) or a Train-the-Trainer (T-CHEST) certification, which authorizes the individual to train and certify other healthcare environmental services professionals.


• Plan and oversee periodic deep cleaning tasks and specialized cleaning projects as required. 

Duties:

• Oversee daily cleaning operations, assign tasks, and ensure team members follow proper procedures and schedules.


• Conduct regular inspections to ensure all areas meet cleanliness standards.


• Address any deficiencies promptly.


• Provide ongoing training on cleaning techniques, safety protocols, and equipment use.


• Monitor cleaning supplies and place orders as needed.


• Ensure all cleaning procedures comply with health and safety and regulatory guidelines, including OSHA standards.


• Document and report incidents and accidents.
