Responsibility & Authority

The Supervisor reports to the Manager and leads the development, implementation, and application of Bluegrass and customer’s production and warehouse systems in demanding manufacturing and warehousing environments. The Supervisor must have the ability to work with customers, team members, suppliers and with Accounting and Human Resources on various aspects of multiple projects. The Supervisor must have strong training and interpersonal communication skills in order to establish and maintain strong working relationships both internally and externally. The Supervisor may be asked to assist with all aspects of the operation.

Job Summary:

The Order Fulfillment Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the order fulfillment team to ensure timely, accurate, and cost-effective processing and shipping of customer orders. This role ensures compliance with company policies, maintains quality standards, and supports continuous improvement initiatives in warehouse and distribution activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of the order fulfillment team to ensure efficient processing and shipment of orders.
• Monitor daily workflow and adjust labor resources as needed to meet productivity and service level targets.
• Ensure all orders are picked, packed, and shipped accurately and on time.
• Collaborate with inventory control, shipping/receiving, and customer service to resolve any fulfillment issues.
• Train, coach, and evaluate team members to build skills and improve performance.
• Enforce safety, quality, and organizational standards in all fulfillment processes.
• Track and report on key metrics such as order accuracy, cycle time, and on-time shipping.
• Participate in continuous improvement activities and implement process changes to increase efficiency.
• Maintain accurate documentation of procedures, work instructions, and SOPs.
• Operate and monitor WMS (Warehouse Management Systems) to manage inventory and order flow.

Qualifications:

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required; an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain, or a related field is preferred.
• 2–5 years of experience in order fulfillment, warehouse operations, or distribution, with at least 1–2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of fulfillment processes, warehouse equipment, and safety standards.
• Familiarity with ERP/WMS systems
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lead a team in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
