Supervisor, Administrative Nursing Flex

Regions Hospital is looking for an Administrative Nursing Supervisor. 

This position coordinates the placement of all admissions (elective and emergent) and transfers to and within Regions Hospital in accordance with clinical standards and guidelines

 This position will also be responsible for:

• Ensuring the patient is admitted to the most appropriate bed available using hospital and unit aggregation/clinical skillset criteria as well as consideration for the admitting diagnosis, level of care and specialty care needs. The individual 

• Coordinates and expedites admission/transfer delays while minimizing obstacles and barriers to patient flow that promotes timely access to care. 

• Assists hospital executive leaders who are on-call for any house-wide or high-risk issues that occur during off-shifts and weekends. This role will also 

• Participate in the improvement of operational and strategic planning for work related to improving care without delay.

The individual works in conjunction with physicians, admitting staff and their supervisors to prioritize admissions based on medical needs and bed availability. Communication occurs with all departments as appropriate to maximize efficiency as expediting admission processes are essential for patient safety and timely progression of clinical care. 

The Administrative Nursing Supervisor has the autonomy to function and determine resource utilization with the support of referring physicians and nursing staff. The Administrative Nursing Supervisor.

Required Qualifications:

Education: 

Graduation from a Registered Nurse (RN) program. 

Bachelor’s degree in Nursing OR Associate degree in Nursing and currently enrolled in a Baccalaureate degree program in Nursing with an established date of completion required. (Bachelor’s degree not required for staff hired prior to 9/1/21).

Experience: 

Four (4) years acute care RN experience with two (2) years in a nursing leadership position (i.e. Charge Nurse, Nurse Manager, Nursing Supervisor, Clinical Resource Lead).

Licensure/Registration/Certification:

Currently licensed as a registered nurse by the State of Minnesota. 

Demonstrates at the time of employment and every two years thereafter, competency in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).

Education: MA or MS in Nursing preferred

Licensure/Registration/Certification:

 Acute care RN experience in more than one specialty or level of care
