POSITION SUMMARY:


The DC Supervisor leads, develops, and engages a team of hourly associates to ensure the accurate, safe, and efficient processing, movement, and fulfillment of merchandise within a high‑volume, technology‑enabled distribution environment. This role drives operational performance, fosters a culture of safety and inclusion, and ensures seamless service to both internal and external customers across all fulfillment channels.



RESPONSIBILITIES / ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:



  • Model AEO’s core values through integrity, accountability, teamwork, and a commitment to associate development.

  • Serve as a trusted point of contact for associate concerns; manage issues with confidentiality, objectivity, and partnership with HR/support teams..

  • Uphold professional boundaries and conduct at all times; model respectful communication, appropriate workplace interactions, and adherence to company policies.

  • Recruit, train, coach, and develop hourly associates; lead teams of varying sizes while ensuring operational coverage and performance.

  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and engaged work environment aligned with AEO culture.

  • Provide timely coaching, feedback, and performance management; address behavior or performance gaps with clarity and professionalism.

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for associate concerns; manage sensitive situations with discretion and partnership with HR/support teams.

  • Communicate daily production goals, quality expectations, and company updates to associates.

  • Support annual performance reviews, merit processes, and promotion decisions.

  • Demonstrate openness to feedback and proactively build action plans to improve performance.


LEADERSHIP, TALENT & CULTURE



  • Support omni‑channel fulfillment by understanding departmental service commitments and customer impact.

  • Partner with planning and leadership teams to optimize staffing, workflow, and productivity.

  • Balance labor across departments to meet daily operational targets while maintaining strong communication with internal partners.

  • Collaborate with support teams (Maintenance, IT, Safety, etc.) to meet service‑level agreements and resolve operational issues.

  • Ensure quality, accuracy, and safety standards are consistently met; coach for improvement where needed.

  • Promote a safety‑first culture; complete monthly/quarterly safety scorecard requirements and support incident investigations.

  • Maintain merchandise and equipment security within assigned areas.

  • Escalate operational concerns promptly and provide thoughtful recommendations for resolution.

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to network‑wide projects.


CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT & INNOVATION 



  • Demonstrate a continuous improvement mindset; identify opportunities to streamline processes and enhance productivity.

  • Participate in cross‑functional initiatives and support implementation of new technologies or processes.

  • Exercise sound judgment and make timely decisions that positively impact operational flow.


PHYSICAL & SCHEDULING REQUIREMENTS 



  • Ability to walk and stand for prolonged periods to maintain floor presence, observe workflow, and provide real‑time support to associates. 

  • Ability to lift up to 50+ lbs consistently.

  • Flexibility to support changing business needs, including shift changes, schedule adjustments, and departmental reassignments.


QUALIFICATIONS



  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or equivalent experience preferred.

  • Minimum 2 years of leadership experience in distribution, warehouse, retail, or related high‑volume environment; omni‑channel or e‑commerce experience preferred.

  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

  • Demonstrated problem‑solving ability and a strong sense of urgency.

  • Proficiency in Google Workspace, AI‑enabled tools, and general computer applications.

  • Ability to work independently and make informed decisions.

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

  • Strategic thinker with the ability to build relationships, develop talent, and drive results in a fast‑paced environment.

  • Demonstrated flexibility to support multiple shifts or departments as needed.


PAY/BENEFITS INFORMATION:



  • Actual starting pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to relevant experience and location.

  • Subject to eligibility requirements, associates may receive health care benefits (including medical, vision, and dental); wellness benefits; 401(k) retirement benefits; life and disability insurance; employee stock purchase program; paid time off; paid sick leave; and parental leave and benefits.
