Job Description - Supervisor, Dept Phone Center

Position Summary:


The primary function of this position is a Supervisor role in the Orthopedic Department Phone Center. A successful candidate must present professionalism in all communications. Must provide outstanding customer service.  Must be able to multi-task while maintaining good patient and staff relations.



Duties and Responsibilities:
Manages staff schedules and general employee performance in the department phone center. Manages difficult or emotional patient situations in a professional manner. Responds promptly and courteously to patient needs. Proficient in data entry and Revere Health applications & systems. Excellent written and verbal communication, including telephone etiquette. Effectively guides team to achieve Orthopedic department goals and provide excellent patient service. Communicate electronically with department leadership and staff throughout the day, researching questions and responding to team in a timely manner. Manages incoming phone calls, schedules appointments, answers basic questions and takes messages related to medical care. Monitors call queues and ensures agent meet fluctuating call volumes. Reports to department administration. Other duties and special projects as requested or assigned.

Qualifications:
Excellent customer service. Strong interpersonal communication, organization, and leadership skills required. Understanding of basic anatomy and medical terminology required. Prior medical reception and contact center experience strongly preferred.
