Supervisor, Heat Treat

Description

The Heat Treat Supervisor is responsible for all aspects of managing the Heat Treat Department including budgets, equipment maintenance, purchases, hiring, training, work assignment and development of staff. Actively participates in efforts to establish and promote a safe and positive work environment. The Supervisor insures that proper equipment, personnel, and procedures are in place to support Customer specific Heat Treat processes. This position has responsibility for successful compliance to NADCAP (Pyrometry), Nuclear, Aerospace ISO and Customer audits. This individual will ensure that certifications, surveys, and calibrations of all Heat Treat equipment are accurate, current and compliant. Maintains standards for quality and documentation control for integrity and traceability. This position must be someone who can drive change and work with others to continuously improve processes. The Heat Treat department works closely with Metallurgy, Engineering, and Quality to develop procedures, product workflow guidelines, resolve quality issues and support new business.

Requirements

Candidates for this position should have excellent computer, math, oral and written skills. Experience in manufacturing leadership desired. Knowledge and experience with pyrometry and in the Honeywell Experion system preferred.  Must be able to interpret and understand Industry Specifications. A thorough knowledge of the Heat Treat equipment and the operating system in order to tune equipment and troubleshoot is strongly desired. A degree in engineering or related discipline, or similar knowledge gained through a combination of education and/or experience, is preferred.
