Visit Globe-Miami.com to learn more.\n\n## What You Will Do\n\nUnder general supervision, supervises, coordinates and controls the safe and efficient operation of an assigned work unit.\n\n \n\n * Assigns, supervises, and reviews the work of staff for assigned work unit.\n * Implement production plans according to approved schedule\n * May participate in the full range of daily operational duties, performing the most difficult\n * Inspects and evaluates work in progress, identifies any problem areas, and may direct remedial action\n * Conducts performance evaluations on subordinate staff\n * Prepares estimates of the staffing, materials, and equipment requirements for projected work activities\n * Maintains an inventory of parts and materials\n * Approves purchases of materials and equipment\n * Maintains time, materials and equipment use reports\n * Requisitions tools, supplies, materials and equipment\n * Trains staff in safety procedures\n * Maintains safety data sheets for crews\n * Performs other duties as required\n\n\n\n## What You Bring To Freeport\n\n * High School diploma or GED and five (5) years of related operational experience, including supervisory or lead experience; OR\n\n * Bachelor\u0027s degree in a technical mining related discipline with at least one (1) summer internship experience (or equivalent) working in a mining or industrial environment\n\n * Additional certifications or licensure appropriate to the job may be required\n * Knowledge of supervisory methods and techniques\n * Skilled in resolving day-to-day questions/problems regarding equipment, materials, methods and procedures needed to complete projects\n * Skilled in budget preparation, monitoring and administration\n * Ability to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions\n * Skilled in following safety practices and recognizing hazards\n * Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing\n\n\n\nPreferred\n\n * Sampling Experience \n * Experience with SAP\n\n\n\nWhat We Offer You \n\nThe estimated annual pay range for this role is currently $73,500- $101,000. This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors.
