The Surgical Services Supervisor (SSS) supports the mission, goals and strategic plan of Nevada Donor Network, Inc. (NDN) by evaluating potential organ donor referrals, medically managing organ donors, allocating donated organs, and coordinating all aspects of the organ recovery. Furthermore, the Supervisor is responsible for establishing and maintaining designated aspects of clinical scheduling, clinical training, quality initiatives, and monitoring compliance. The SSS promotes the mission by assisting in the development and delivery of hospital and professional education. The SSS will ensure that day-to-day department tasks are completed, including even workload distribution, real-time case quality checks, and appropriate surgical recovery, preservation, and perfusion timelines. The SSS will assist the Managers of Organ Services in identifying quality, prioritization, or personnel trends, providing real-time coaching as needed, and scheduling of the Surgical Recovery Coordinators. The Supervisor is expected to fulfill the responsibilities of the SRC I, SRC II, SRC III. The SSS will function as an Administrator On-Call, as designated by Organ Department leadership.
Education: Bachelor’s degree, Certified Surgical Technician or related field or applicable experience preferred.
Experience: 2 year as a level II SRC or equivalent experience is required.
Computer Skills: Proficiency in MS office, Electronic Medical Records
Certificates & Licenses: CTP, CST and CSFA preferred
