Supervisor, Manufacturing, 3rd shift\n\nExton, PA \n\nSunday-Thursday 10pm - 6:30am. (Will train on 1st shift for 2 months Mon-Fri 6am-2:30pm)\n\nAs a Production Supervisor, you are responsible for supervising the manufacturing of new and existing products according to pre-determined operations in accordance with agreed planning, yield, production-cost and quality consistent with SHE requirements. You will drive the end-to-end materials conversion process which includes cost of production (especially usage and yield), quality of product, timely delivery and production to plan. As the primary point of contact and guidance for operators who produce dsm-firmenich medical devices, this position represents a critical link in ensuring company expectations are appropriately communicated, understood, and carried out by the team.\n\ndsm-firmenich Biomedical is the world\u2019s unrivaled biomaterials expert and committed partner in driving sustainable innovation in healthcare. As a strategic partner with an approach driven not only by market dynamics but by the unique needs of every customer, DSM Biomedical brings an unparalleled breadth of product portfolios, proprietary manufacturing and processing.\n\nIf you have previous supervisory experience leading a team, have a flair for coaching, guiding, problem solving and organization with a positive mindset regarding conflict resolution and have GMP, Medical Device or Pharmaceutical experience, we look forward to hearing from you!\n\nYour Key Responsibilities:\n\n * Perform daily supervision in a Clean Room environment, maintaining a safe, productive, and cooperative environment.\n * Ensures the agreed volume of products is produced in conformity with planning and cost.\n * Provides leadership in the development and planning of personnel and plant safety activities and ensures compliance to safety policies and procedures.\n * Monitor and reports on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) of the production department.\n * Identifies areas for efficiency improvements and manages implementation by keeping and reviewing records, observing current practices and evaluating input from production employees.\n * Troubleshoot tooling/process problems that occur during daily production activities and correct or recommend changes, as necessary.\n * Manage Shop Orders and supporting paperwork for accuracy and completeness. A Bachelor\u2019s degree is preferred.\n * Good communication skills, understanding of engineering concepts, proven supervisory and management skills, computer literacy\n * 2-3 years in a relevant industrial environment with supervisory experience.\n * Familiarity with SAP, Arena and other QMS systems.\n * Previous experience in a GMP and GDP biotech/ pharmaceutical/ food environment preferred. Chemical processing a plus\n * Demonstrate, promote, and comply with all dsm-firmenich Life Saving Rules through active discussion in team meetings and holding employees accountable for their SHE behaviors and attitudes. Follows all SHE instructions and procedures to include ensuring awareness of and following all dsm-firmenich Life Saving Rules. Acts is such a way that safety awareness and accident prevention are considered in performing all tasks.\n * Displays and promotes positive safety behaviors at all times; uses proper personal protective equipment (PPE), appropriate safety tools, equipment and procedures to ensure that self and others go home safe each day; that area and equipment operate at the highest safety levels; that all people in the area comply with the safety directives and keep the area neat and clean.\n * Develops and updates production department Job Safety Analyses (JSAs) and permit to work.\n * Participates in site Hazardous Operations (HAZOP) team as required and participates in operational audits.\n * Shows leadership by working to SHE standards and encouraging colleagues to work to the same standards. \n\n\n\nThe salary or hourly wage scale provided reflects the pay range dsm-firmenich expects to pay the successful candidate for the position. Individual pay offered will be based on the applicant\u2019s job-related skills, experience, relevant education, or training, and primary work location. Salary $66k-$93,800\n\nIn addition to base salary, we also offer a comprehensive total rewards package, inclusive of annual incentive pay, a retirement savings plan, health care coverage, paid time off, recognition programs and a broad range of other benefits.
