Supplier Account Director

Applied Materials is growing! We are seeking an experienced professional for this individual contributor role.\n\nIdeal candidate will have deep understanding of company financial statements, and the ability to correlate business development, investments, and business inflections with predictive impact on financial performance.\n\nWill apply their experience in developing, maturing and marketing new and innovative business models that maximize use of supplier engineering and operational capabilities to deliver sourcing solutions with measurable, favorable impact to Applied Materials financials.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\n * Develops, aligns and implements commodity strategies.\n * Negotiates and manages the maintenance of agreements with suppliers that provide the structure for all business relationships between Applied Materials and the supply base.\n * Engages with the PLC process to ensure alignment with the commodity strategies.\n * Directs new supplier introduction and/or disengagement requirements to/from the Applied Materials supply base.\n * Drives resolution to systemic supply chain issues affecting quality, cost, delivery or lead-time, which may include engagement with sub-tiers in the supply chain.\n * Develops and presents high level cost reduction opportunities.\n * Approves/final authority, delivers and manages Supplier Performance Improvement Plans.\n * Drives formal supplier performance reviews.\n\n\n\n \nFunctional Knowledge\n\n * Recognized as \u201cguru\u201d or external expert in a function\n * Demonstrates broad and comprehensive expertise in leading-edge theories, techniques and/or technologies within own field.\n\n\n\n \nBusiness Expertise\n\n * Influences internal/external business and/or regulatory issues that have an impact on the business\n\n\n\nLeadership\n\n * Leads highly visible multidisciplinary project teams or initiatives; provides thought leadership.\n\n\n\n \nProblem Solving\n\n * Proactively identifies and solves the most complex problems; uses ground-breaking methods to think beyond existing solutions.\n\n\n\n \nImpact\n\n * Impacts business direction through the development of innovative services or products.\n\n\n\n \nInterpersonal Skills\n\n * Negotiates with senior management, customers, regulators or vendors to influence decisions.\n\n\n\n## Qualifications\n\n### Education:\n\nBachelor\u0027s Degree\n\n### Skills\n\n### Certifications:\n\n### Languages:\n\n### Years of Experience:\n\n10 - 15 Years\n\n### Work Experience:\n\n## Additional Information\n\n### \n\n### Shift:\n\n10-Day 8-Hr (United States of America)\n\n### \n\n### Travel:\n\nYes, 25% of the Time\n\n### \n\n### Relocation Eligible:\n\nYes\n\n### Referral Payment Plan:\n\nEmployee Referral (Standard)\n\nU.S. Salary Range:\n\n$164,000.00 - $225,500.00\n\nThe salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members.
