Key Responsibilities\n\n * Develops, aligns, and implements commodity strategies.\n * Negotiates and manages the maintenance of agreements with suppliers that provide the structure for all business relationships between Applied Materials and the supply base.\n * Engages with the PLC process to ensure alignment with the commodity strategies.\n * Directs new supplier introduction and/or disengagement requirements to/from the Applied Materials supply base.\n * Drives resolution to systemic supply chain issues affecting quality, cost, delivery or lead-time, which may include engagement with sub-tiers in the supply chain.\n * Develops and presents high level cost reduction opportunities.\n * Approves/final authority, delivers, and manages Supplier Performance Improvement Plans and formal Performance Reviews.\n\n\n\nFunctional Knowledge\n\n * Regarded as the technical expert in their particular field.\n * Demonstrates in-depth and/or breadth of expertise in own discipline and broad knowledge of other disciplines within the function.\n\n\n\nBusiness Expertise\n\n * Anticipates business and regulatory issues; recommends product, process, or service improvements.\n\n\n\nLeadership\n\n * Leads projects with notable risk and complexity; develops the strategy for project execution.\n\n\n\nProblem Solving\n\n * Solves unique and complex problems with broad impact on the business; requires conceptual and innovative thinking to develop solutions\n\n\n\n \nImpact\n\n * Impacts the direction and resource allocation for program, project or services; works within general functional policies and industry guidelines.\n\n\n\nInterpersonal Skills\n\n * Communicates complex ideas, anticipates potential objections, and persuades senior levels to adopt different points of view. \n\n\n\n\n## Qualifications\n\n### Education:\n\nBachelor\u0027s Degree\n\n### Skills\n\n### Certifications:\n\n### Languages:\n\n### Years of Experience:\n\n10 - 15 Years\n\n### Work Experience:\n\n## Additional Information\n\n### \n\n### Shift:\n\n10-Day 8-Hr (United States of America)\n\n### \n\n### Travel:\n\nYes, 25% of the Time\n\n### \n\n### Relocation Eligible:\n\nYes\n\n### Referral Payment Plan:\n\nEmployee Referral (Standard)\n\nU.S. Salary Range:\n\n$156,000.00 - $234,000.00\n\nThe salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members.
