Key Responsibilities
- Assist in developing and maintaining supplier relationships to ensure quality, cost, and delivery expectations are met
- Work with suppliers to resolve technical issues related to product quality and manufacturing processes
- Support suppliers in meeting customer specifications and industry standards through training, audits, and improvement initiatives
- Identify and help qualify new manufacturing sources for components that are difficult to procure
- Act as a technical liaison between design engineering teams and suppliers to communicate manufacturing requirements and support vendor quoting processes
- Participate in reviewing supplier production processes, schedules, and manufacturing methods to identify improvement opportunities
- Assist with process optimization efforts by gathering and analyzing data related to supplier performance
- Support Process Flow Development and PFMEA activities by helping identify risks and process inefficiencies
- Participate in supplier audits and assist in evaluating compliance with quality and regulatory standards
- Review incoming materials and products to confirm alignment with technical specifications
- Prepare and maintain documentation related to supplier quality, including audit reports, corrective actions, and process updates
- Collaborate with engineering teams to resolve supplier challenges and maintain product quality standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, or a related technical field
- At least 1 year of experience in supplier development, quality engineering, or a related role
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to support process improvement initiatives
- Familiarity with quality and risk management methodologies such as DFMEA or PFMEA
- Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and quality control systems
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Ability to communicate effectively with internal teams and external suppliers
