Supplier Quality Engineer (THIRD SHIFT)

This role will train on first shift for approximately 2 months and then training to a THIRD SHIFT role.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:                       

• Review rejects from both incoming quality inspection and production floor
• Investigate critical quality issues, create problem statements and communicate to the cross-functional team
• Manage and coordinate the containment activities (sorting/rework) to minimize the impact on production operations due to quality issues
• Support problem solving and continuous improvement projects
• Coordinate the disposition of Process Change Notifications and Deviations

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• Bachelor’s Degree OR equivalent work experience AND
• 2-4 years of experience in the manufacturing industry

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Attention to detail
• Communication in both verbal and writing
• Team player
• Data collection analysis
• Problem solving and critical thinking

• Blueprint reading
• Gages and measurements
• MS Office Software (Outlook/Excel/Word/PowerPoint)
• Knowledge of internal combustion engines

DESIRED SKILLS:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering/technology/science
• ASQ CQE certification

• Positive attitude, calm and patient, can handle urgent issues under stress
