Job Description - Supply Chain Manager

For one of our clients we are looking for a Supply Chain Manager. As a Supply Chain Manager, you will create the most efficient possible flow of goods and/or services from the company to the consumer or customer. Your role includes optimizing procurement processes, maintaining strong relationships with suppliers, and managing inventory. You will lead the supply chain department, ensuring that products are delivered in the most cost -effective manner without compromising on quality.

Requirements

Minimum HBO working and thinking level in Supply Chain
Management, (Technical) Business Administration, or Operations Management
At least 5 years of experience in a similar management
role
Strong affinity with planning and logistics
Proven experience in change management and process
structuring
Knowledge in the procurement of goods and services and
supplier negotiations
Proficiency in MS Office (particularly Word and Excel
Excellent verbal and written communication (Dutch and English)
Customer -oriented, results -oriented, quality focused and organizational awareness
Commercial acumen, accuracy and stress resilience
Proactive, planning and prioritization
Commitment, integrity and reliability
Flexibility, teamwork and independence

What will you be doing?

As a Supply Chain Manager, your key responsibilities involve leading and managing the supply chain department to ensure efficient operations. You will constantly analyze and improve processes to maintain an efficient production chain. Developing and implementing the company's procurement strategy is also part of your role. You will set delivery goals for the company and motivate the team to achieve them, create procurement and inventory plans, and ensure that deadlines are met. Your responsibilities include developing short - and medium -term supplier strategies, monitoring market developments to forecast future demand for end products, and managing the delivery and storage of products or services to meet consumer or customer needs. Overseeing departments linked to the production chain, you will document and monitor supply chain processes, analyze customer demand, and initiate improvements in logistics automation to achieve higher efficiency, lower complexity, shorter lead times, and lower costs. Additionally, you will optimize operational areas such as procurement, logistics, inventory, and work processes, enhance collaboration between production, sales, marketing, and logistics, negotiate and manage supplier contracts, and maintain and improve supplier relationships. As a member of the Management Team, you will contribute to the overall company policy, ensuring balanced decision -making within the department.
