Job Description - Supply Chain Planner

Tate, a global provider of innovative raised access flooring, structural ceilings, and modular prefabricated aisle containment systems, is opening a new manufacturing facility in Russell County, Virginia.

We're looking for skilled, entrepreneurial people for a variety of professional and production positions who want to grow with our business.

Basic Purpose

The Supply Chain Planner is responsible for coordinating intercompany and outsourced material supply for Tate's St. Paul facility. This position will function as the liaison for Tate's procurement team stationed across multiple domestic facilities while achieving optimal delivery schedules and a high level of customer service.

Responsibilities

Works closely with Customer Care, Project Management, and Scheduling to clearly define project requirements and function as the liaison for Tate's multi-facility procurement team.


Collaborates with Tate's Buyers to ensure project expectations and timelines are clearly defined.


Compiles intercompany and outsourced supply information ensuring the inflow of material aligns with project schedules and effectively communicates updates as required.


Proactively follows up on open orders to secure the best possible delivery dates and implements solutions for challenges they may encounter.


Consistently evaluates incoming supply performance identifying opportunities to increase efficiencies while collaborating with the responsible Buyer(s) on implementation.


Engages with suppliers (in collaboration with a Buyer) to resolve issues and discrepancies regarding delivery dates, quantities, quality, or invoicing.


Effectively collaborates with other Tate manufacturing facilities to ensure material replenishment and inventory plans are performing as required.



Qualifications

A minimum of 2 years of experience in procurement, expediting, material control, or related fields is required.


Bachelor's degree in supply chain or a related business field preferred (or 4+ years' Supply Chain experience).


Customer-oriented and committed to meeting deadlines.


Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management.


Willing to travel to other Tate manufacturing facilities within the USA.
