The Supply Chain team at Northeastern Nevada Regional Hospital is a small, collaborative team that plays an important role in keeping hospital departments stocked with the supplies they need to provide excellent patient care. We’re looking for a dependable team player who communicates well, takes initiative, and enjoys working in a hands-on environment where their work makes an impact across the hospital every day.

 

How you’ll contribute  

A Supply Chain Technician who excels in this role: 

  • Stock and maintain medical and office supplies throughout the hospital, with primary support provided to nursing departments.

  • Monitor inventory levels and replenish supplies to established par levels to help ensure departments have the materials needed for patient care.

  • Perform routine cycle counts, identify inventory discrepancies, and update inventory records as appropriate.

  • Receive incoming shipments, verify and document deliveries, and report damaged, missing, or incorrect items.

  • Enter receipts and other inventory information accurately into applicable computer systems.

  • Deliver supplies and materials to departments throughout the hospital in a timely and organized manner.

  • Assist with receiving dock activities and respond professionally to telephone and walk-up requests.

  • Complete clerical and computer-based tasks associated with Supply Chain operations, including processing outgoing mail.

  • Work collaboratively with Supply Chain and hospital departments while demonstrating initiative, strong communication, and attention to detail.

  • Perform other duties as assigned to support department and facility needs.

 

What we’re looking for  
Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent preferred. Additional requirements include: 

  • Previous inventory, receiving, stocking, warehouse, supply chain, or related experience preferred, but not required.

  • Healthcare or hospital experience is not required.

  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a small, collaborative team.

  • Self-motivated with the ability to take initiative and work with minimal supervision.

  • Strong attention to detail, organization, critical thinking, and sound judgment.

  • Comfortable learning and navigating multiple computer systems; experience with Oracle or RF-SMART is helpful but not required.

  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, including reading, writing, speaking, and understanding instructions.

  • Ability to spend a significant portion of the shift standing and walking and meet the physical requirements of the position, including lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling supplies.

  • Ability to complete required Skills Competency Checklist within 90 days of hire.

  • Ability to complete approximately two weeks of full-time, on-the-job training upon hire.

  • Flexibility to adjust to changing department needs within the position's scheduled hours.

 

 

Schedule: Part-Time, Monday – Friday, 7:00am – 12:00pm, with some flexibility based on department needs.
