Job Responsibilities
About Whitten Regional CenterWhitten Regional Center is a residential facility of the South Carolina Department of Disabilities and Special Needs located in Clinton, SC serving residents with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Reports to Food Service Specialist Ill. Adheres to departmental, facility, and DHEC rules and regulations, while completing necessary duties. Utilizes decision and problem solving skills.
1. Receives incoming supplies from food distributors, deliveries and ware house Checks deliveries against invoice. Ensures quality, date, and temperature of deliveries meet regulation. Stores supplies when delivered, ensuring stock rotation. Checks to ensure undamaged packaging. Monitors expiration dates.2. Conducts inventory of dry storage, coolers, and freezer quarterly as determined by the facility. Inventories dry storage, and cleaning supplies yearly as determined by SC State regulation. Maintains an accurate inventory of emergency items.3. Receives and fills supply requests. Assures the distribution and delivery of supplies as requested to appropriate areas.4. Work on food truck, ATV, trailer, or other transportation to deliver snacks, supplies or food carts.5. Security of dry storage, coolers, freezer. Ensures security of all entrance doors of the department Monitors and documents temperatures of dry storage, coolers, and freezer.6. Cleans and maintains sanitation of dry storage, coolers, and freezer.7. Works in all areas of Food Service as assigned Completes all assigned duties by end of shift. Ensures hygiene and sanitation according to DHEC and Food Service Department Policies. Completes assignments by end of shift. Monitors incoming calls.8. Conducts residential, food service, and facility food storage area inspections as assigned.

Immunization:
If this position requires the applicant to work directly with DDSN consumers, a (2) step PPD testing or QuantiFERON TB Gold testing must be completed prior to beginning employment. All new employees who are healthcare providers are required to provide documentation of immunity or be immunized against measles, mumps, rubella, pertussis, Varicella and Hepatitis B prior to beginning employment.
State Disaster Plan:
In accordance with the State's Disaster Plan, which includes hazardous weather, DDSN employees may be required to work in times of an emergency or disaster.
