Job Description - Supply Technician

Supply Technician

XVIII ABC Hub and Spoke MTCs provide individual and collective training on Army Mission Command Systems, using a variety of tools and Army fielded systems. These systems are used to support Small Unit Training: Squads through Company, Medium Unit Training: Battalion through Brigade, and Large Unit Training: Divisions and Corps in training environments ranging from Stability and Support Operations (SSO) through Unified Land Operations (ULO).

HOW the Supply Technician WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:
  • Assist the Government in maintaining a standard operating procedure for property accountability. Maintain inventories of equipment to ensure tracking property down to the user level, submit lists of supplies and equipment required to execute the mission, assist in the ordering process, and properly account for and store items upon receipt, including physical disposition of materials and supplies. General physical activities include lifting, climbing, walking, stooping, mowing, edging, mopping, sweeping, and working with concentrated household style cleaning chemicals.
  • Receiving Government Equipment (GFE) into the GDIT Inventory.
  • Ordering, receiving, disbursing, and storing operating supplies.
  • Preparation and reconciliation of hand receipts for GFE supplies and equipment.
  • Preparation, packing and inventorying GFE for shipment to Remote Site locations.
  • Works with a degree of independence and significant feedback from management regarding supply administration/management.
  • Preparation and submission of quarterly sensitive items reports.
  • Preparation and submission of quarterly 10% inventory.
  • Preparation of all routine supply reports.
  • Restocking all custodial supplies as needed.


WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
  • Education/Experience: HS/GED and 1+ years of experience.
  • Required Experience: GARMY and understanding of the Property Book system.
  • Security Clearance: Current SECRET required.
  • Required Skills and Ability: GARMY, and Hand Receipt process. communication.
  • Preferred Skills: Logistics / Supply background at the Company / Battalion level and management skills.
  • Location: Fort Bragg MTC. Normal work schedule is 0730-1600, may require night or weekend work shifts depending on specific training event requirements.
  • Travel: May require occasional travel (less than 10%)

Salary and Benefit Information
The likely hourly rate for this position is between $24.29 - $32.87. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
