Job Description:
Velocity Investments is a specialized financial services firm that focuses on acquiring and managing distressed receivables.  We are seeking a dedicated Support Specialist – Client Services to join our Client Services team. This role is crucial to support critical post-judgment and legal account processes. In this role, you will be responsible for managing UCC, lien, and title releases in accordance with applicable legal requirements, while partnering closely with the Affidavit Manager on specialized legal functions such as substitutions of counsel, assignments of judgment, and satisfaction processing. You will serve as a key liaison across internal teams—including disputes, compliance, and witness/discovery—to address client inquiries related to fraud, disputes, and complaints, while independently investigating and resolving complex consumer issues through to closure. This position requires strong analytical skills, a thorough understanding of legal documentation, and the ability to ensure timely, compliant handling of all legal account materials and communications within a fast-paced environment. This role is hybrid, with three in office days and 2 WFH days.


 



  1. Key Responsibilities
    Manage UCC, Lien, and Title Releases in accordance with legal rules, in conjunction with Affidavit Manager

  2. Assist Affidavit Manager as needed with the processing of other special legal functionality including but not limited to substitution of counsel, assignment of judgment, satisfaction of judgment

  3. Coordinate with disputes, compliance, and witness/discovery on special client correspondence and inquires involving fraud/disputes/complaint

  4. Investigate and close individual consumer fraud/disputes/complaints that require client input up to and including closure and refund preparation

  5. Investigate and assist BK department on special consumer fraud/disputes/complaints that require client input up to and including transfers of claims and additional documentation requests timely 

  6. Ensure and maintain legal account level documentation material is prepared and made available to performance team for all accounts entering legal channel

  7. Send recurring legal support and follow-ups with internal client services team Including but not limited to state legal requirements (Right to Cure/cardholder agreements/Original creditor affidavits, legal exceptions, pre-legal exceptions, and special compliance and state regulation exceptions 

  8. Work on other projects and duties as needed.


Qualifications:


Bachelor’s degree                                                                                                                    


Strong analytical skills                                                                                                                    Strong Microsoft Excel skills                                                                                                        


SQ or Snowflake experience a plus
