Job Description - Support Specialist - Entry Level
Primary duties and responsibilities:
Schedule IEP and MET meetings at the direction of the managers, teachers or school psychologist.
Ensure compliance with timelines by reviewing IEP and MET due dates and scheduling meetings accordingly.
Utilize various reports through the SIS and e-IEPPRO to ensure compliance with timelines.
Collect special education documents for new and returning students.
Process incoming faxes and records requests for the Special Education Department

Know and be proficient in Microsoft Office programs

Job Specific Skills/Abilities:
General knowledge of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act
Ability to work cohesively on a team
Technical aptitude
Previous experience working with students with exceptional learning needs is valued, but not required
Education/Training:
High school diploma (required)
Some college (preferred)
Minimum of 6 months in current position
Bi-lingual preferred
Effective performance rating in most recent evaluation
Current Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card
