Support Staff Ski and Ride School

Work Location: In-person role based in Windham, NY.  

Pay: 18 to 19 per hour based on experience

Seasonal Position: This role is available for the winter season. 

Full Time and Part Time Positions available! 

Start dates are weather dependent.

Scheduling Expectations: Peak times include weekends, early mornings, and holidays. Weekend availability is required. 

 Conditions: Must be able to get to a from work in all weather conditions. This is an indoor position. 

Overview of Position:   As a Support Staff team member, you'll help create a positive experience for guests while supporting Ski & Ride School operations. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with children.

  Key Responsibilities: 

• Assist with program check-in and check-out
• Support instructors and provide encouragement to young participants
• Maintain indoor and outdoor learning areas
• Assist with rental equipment processes
• Monitor and assist children throughout the day
• Help with lunch, snack, and beverage service (no cooking required)
• Keep facilities clean, safe, and organized

Qualifications:

• At least 14 years old
• Intermediate skiing or snowboarding ability required
• Comfortable working with children ages 3-12
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Reliable, positive, and eager to learn

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to work outdoors in winter conditions for up to 6 hours per day
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, push, and pull as needed
• Must be able to travel to and from work in all weather conditions
