Support Staff Technician

we are looking for. Your expertise and professionalism is needed at our office in Fort Wayne, IN to provide support and administrative services. Our commitment to whole person healthcare and your desire to help change our communities for the better will make us an amazing Team! The hours for this position are 40 hours- 5 days a week, flex two days to work til 7 pm

Support Staff Technician Key Responsibilities:
Communication (verbal and written) and consultation with all center staff, clients and the general public. Maintaining a professional, customer-focused environment.
Answering incoming telephone calls, scheduling/rescheduling appointments for primary care and behavioral providers, taking messages and/or routing to appropriate extension
Collecting patient co-pays and payments at registration and general cashier duties
Retrieves medical records from outside providers and creates medical record chart for new patients. Maintains a working knowledge of release of information procedures per Meridian policies and procedures.
We value your Support Staff Technician Experience:

High School diploma or equivalent required.
Two years secretarial/office experience preferred.
Previous experience in a medical setting strongly preferred.
Computer proficiency and ability to type and/or use computer in order to complete data entry and telephone duties.
Strong communication skills (both verbal and written)
Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to maintain confidentiality
