Job Overview:
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Direct Support Professionals. As a Direct Support Staff, you will provide essential care and support to individuals in need. This role requires a strong drive to help others and a commitment to maintaining the privacy and rights of residents.
Duties:
- Assist individuals with daily activities such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication reminders
- Provide emotional support and companionship
- Ensure the safety and well-being of residents at all times
- Assist with transportation to appointments or community outings
- Document and maintain accurate records of care provided
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of resident information
- Follow established systems and protocols for providing care
- Advocate for resident rights and ensure their needs are met
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in home care, childcare, senior care, or a related field is preferred but not require.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks as require.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Compassionate and patient demeanor.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- High level of integrity and respect for resident privacy and rights
In addition to the job description above we are looking for the following skill set:
- Experience with highly behavioral clients is preferred
- ABA training preferred
- We are recruiting for staff that can work with an adult with behavior needs
