Responsibilities

Position Description



In this role, the successful candidate will have supervisory experience in the hospitality industry, preferably in a hospital or healthcare setting. This role is responsible for overseeing the front-line team under the leadership and guidance of Dietary Management. The position is responsible for opening and closing shifts and maintaining an orderly service line to meet high standards of service and accuracy. Reviews/prepares dietary reports, menu, and ensures that production goals are achieved always. This includes following proper sanitation techniques and maintaining work area and equipment t in a clear and orderly condition. Prepares work schedules for team, and ensures adequate staffing for each station/shift in accordance with budgeted FTEs and aligned with the department productivity goals. Supervises, direct and coordinates the activities of kitchen staff, with the goal of feeding patients with the proper diet with the highest quality, safety and optimal patient experience. Reviews time cards on a daily basis, is responsible for training and competency assessment of staff, and ensure performance evaluations are completed within the appropriate time frame per hospital policy.




Qualifications

Qualifications:



HS Diploma or equivalent. Supervisor/management experience required. Two or more years of related experience in the hospital/healthcare setting or equivalent fast paced environment. ServSafe and DC Department of Health Food Handler's license required or must be obtained within three months of start date.
