Job Description:

  • Ensures proper equipment functionality and coordinates preventative maintenance. 
  • Participates in scheduling, timekeeping, and supply inventory management to support operational efficiency and budget goals.
  • Coordinates daily workflow and staffing assignments, balancing patient volumes, sonographer availability, and room utilization.
  • Provides day-to-day supervision of sonographers, support staff, and imaging operations to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care.
  • Serves as a clinical resource to sonographers, students, and other staff, offering guidance on protocols, positioning, image quality, and regulatory compliance.
  • Participates in quality improvement initiatives, including image quality audits, repeat analysis, and process improvement projects.
  • Assists with onboarding, orientation, training, and ongoing competency assessment of sonographers and new hires.
  • Responsible for compliance with departmental policies, safety guidelines, and regulatory/accreditation standards.
  • Supports leadership in performance management through the talent care process, performance reviews, and providing coaching opportunities for team member development.
  • Oversees sterilization of transducers in compliance with hygiene and safety standards. 
  • Collaborates with radiologists, leadership, and other departments to facilitate timely and coordinated imaging services.

  • 5+ years experience [Preferred]

Licenses and Certifications:
Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required] AND
Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) [Required] OR Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) [Required] OR Registered Technologist - Sonography RT(S)(ARRT)) [Required]
