Sures LTL Shipper

Job Description

The Sures LTL Shipper is accountable for leading the daily LTL operations Monday – Friday. Assuring all pallets are secure and with the correct material verifying all pallets that go out. The Sures LTL shipper and Puller will coordinate with the Planners and Clerks communicating warehouse/shipping priorities as well as ensuring orders are processed with an emphasis on safety, quality, food safety and productivity. Sures LTL shipper will also coordinate with carriers picking trailers up.

Shift:    Morning
Pay Rate: $17.25 

Safety 

• Sures LTL shipper will make sure all trailers are clean and docked locked, wheels will be chocked if dock locks are not working properly or if icy inclement weather outside.


• Guide and direct department SEE


• Uphold Plant & Department Safety Rules


• Sures LTL Shipper will monitor Sures Pullers behaviors and work practices and address unsafe acts, unsafe conditions and PFS violations 


• Perform and process safety, behavioral, PFS and housekeeping audits 

Quality  

• Help ensure materials produced meet established quality standards


• Ensure good housekeeping practices are being followed in the Sures area


• Help analyze quality issues to determine root cause and communicate with appropriate parties to eliminate future occurrences. 

Productivity  

• Verify carton labels match the pallet ID and correct qty asked to pull.


• Loading trailers with stable loads to assure no tipping over pallets in trailer


• Responsible for all loads going out on correct trailer and correct customer


• Move trailers into or out of docks when needed 


• Working knowledge of printer, label maker, banding machine and scales for all Xport, UPS and LTL shipments


• Monitor Sures area activities and address issues appropriately.  Advise management of employee issues that may require attention.


• Assist in researching and correcting orders. 

Qualifications

• Minimum 1-2 years in a warehouse / shipping environment recommended.


• Bachelor’s degree preferred; Experience can be considered in lieu of degree. 


• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, be well organized, and be a team player.


• Computer knowledge (SAP, Sym-ple, Excel, Word)


• Demonstrated safety commitment 


• Positive work history with an ability to manage multiple tasks


• Able to work both independently and within a team, generating results with general/minimal guidance from management 


• Excellent written and verbal communication skills along with professional presentation and negotiation skills.


• Maintain a professional appearance and attitude


• As a team member, follow all safety, quality, plant GMP and safe food handling rules


• Follow all applicable EHS, Quality and Food Safety procedures and protocols, and reports any incident to his/her supervisor.


• Complete all EHS, Quality and Food Safety applicable training
