Position Overview:

As a Surgical Authorization Specialist, you will be responsible for obtaining and verifying insurance authorizations for surgical procedures. Your work will ensure that patients experience a seamless process, while maintaining compliance with insurance requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Communicate with insurance companies to secure authorizations for surgical procedures.
• Review patient medical records to ensure compliance with insurance guidelines.
• Collaborate with surgeons, medical staff, and billing teams to ensure accurate scheduling and documentation.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of insurance policies and coding requirements.
• Provide excellent customer service to patients, addressing questions and concerns related to insurance coverage.

Requirements

 Qualifications:

• Strong understanding of medical terminology, surgical procedures, and insurance authorization processes.
• Previous experience in a medical office or similar healthcare setting.
• Proficiency in managing electronic health records (EHR) and insurance portals.
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
