Job and Ideal Candidate: 

We are looking for an outstanding candidate, who embodies our operating principles, to join our surgery team. Experience with juggling multiple tasks at once is a must, as our surgery coordinator you will be responsible for: 

• Tracking pathology results with accuracy 
• Communicating benign and malignant results with compassion 
• Coordination of treatment across all of our offices 
• Verifying insurance benefits and communicating cost information with patients 
• Must be willing to work as part of a successful team 
• Minimum typing speed of 50 wpm 

Requirements

• A four-year degree from an accredited college/university or equivalent experience with multi-provider scheduling is required  
• Proven track record of working well on teams and delivering excellence 
• Excellent verbal and written skills required. Customer service experience a plus 
• Alignment with the values and mission of Vanguard Skin Specialists 

Schedule: 

This is a full-time position with business hours Monday to Friday. We work across multiple offices (Colorado Springs, Canon City, Castle Rock, Parker, Pueblo, and Woodland Park). This position is based out of the Colorado Springs HQ location and includes two days per week at our Briargate office. 

Reviews: 

 Vanguard Skin Specialists believes in providing regular feedback and encouraging professional development. Your first check in with HR will be approximately 90 days from your date of hire. Written annual reviews take place each fall. For individuals with less than 6 months of tenure by fall review but greater than 6 months tenure at spring review, then the initial review will take place in the spring review.  

The practice promotes from within, which provides opportunity for growth and advancement. 

Compensation & Benefits: 

Pay range is $20-$23 per hour depending on experience with eligibility for overtime and paid time off. The practice covers a portion of the premium for medical benefits and also offers vision, dental, and 401K. The position also comes with a Graduate School Stipend, Bereavement Pay, Paid Maternity & Bonding Leave, ACDT Certification Stipend, Employee Discounts on products and aesthetic services. 

Physical Working Conditions: 

• Must be able to sit, stand, and/or walk for up to 10 hours 
• Must be able to lift up to 25-50 pounds 
• Operate a computer and other office machinery, such as a calculator, printer, copier, scanner, or fax 
• Be able to communicate accurately, effectively and frequently 
• Can identify color on the computer and software used
