Surgery Scheduler

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Surgery Scheduler to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in coordinating surgical procedures and ensuring efficient scheduling processes.

*Must have prior auth experience*

Duties:

- Schedule patient surgeries, coordinating with physicians, patients, and operating room staff

- Arrange pre-operative tests and appointments for patients

- Verify insurance coverage and obtain pre-authorizations for surgical procedures

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in electronic medical systems

- Communicate effectively with patients regarding surgery preparation instructions and post-operative care

- Collaborate with medical billing and collections teams to ensure accurate billing for surgical services

- Other duties as assigned

Skills:

- Proficiency in medical terminology, ICD-10 coding, and medical billing procedures

- Experience with scheduling surgeries or medical appointments is preferred

- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively

- Excellent communication skills to interact with patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies
