Here’s What You Need
Education
· High School Diploma or equivalent (Required)
Experience
· 2 years related experience in healthcare environment (Preferred)
· Previous Surgery Scheduling experience (Strongly Preferred)
What You Will Do
· Coordinate, register and schedule appointments for patients according to availability.
· Conduct patient pre-certification to ensure coverage for appointments and medical care.
· Ensure all required tests needed prior to surgery are done.
· Coordinate and ensure necessary equipment is ordered, room availability/scheduled, pre-surgery medication, etc is arranged prior to scheduled procedure.
· Schedule any necessary follow-up appointments.
· Communicate and answer patients' questions regarding surgery preparation instructions, arrival / departure instructions relative to procedure.
