Surgical Dental Assistant – Hands-On Patient Care

What You’ll Do:

• Assist primarily in All-on-X (AOX) and full-arch surgeries, as well as wisdom teeth extractions, sinus

  grafts, biopsies, and related oral surgery procedures

• Prepare operatories for set-up, decontamination, sterilization, cleaning, restocking, maintaining lab & procedural areas and ensuring equipment is ready for each patient.

• Provides positive customer service to patients by escorting, communicating, and prepping them for care by doctor. Review history and progress of treatment plans with patients.

• Administers oxygen & IV sedation as needed, takes blood pressure

• Takes X-Rays, impressions, pours & prepares study models, coordinates lab cases.

• Support sterilization and instrument processing while maintaining strict OSHA and infection-control

  standards

• Records treatment information on patient’s charts, schedules appointments, and provides follow up and post op direction and instructions to patients.

What You Need:

• Graduate of accredited Surgical Assisting program 

• Two years of Surgical Assisting experience required

• AOX / full-arch experience highly preferred

• Experience in assisting with general anesthesia, IV sedation, and oxygen administration

• Proficient in utilizing CBCT, panoramic, & periapical radiographs, autoclaves, ultrasonic cleaners, & sterilization techniques.

• CPR & First Aid Certified
