Position Overview

We are seeking a dependable Surgical Cart Tech to support daily operations in a healthcare setting. This role requires pushing carts of instrument sets between buildings, maintaining organization of containers, and supporting surgical staff with supply and inventory needs. The Surgical Cart Tech must demonstrate efficiency, awareness, and strong organizational skills to ensure the timely and safe delivery of equipment and supplies.

Key Responsibilities

• Push and transport surgical instrument carts across buildings via sky bridge.

• Organize and arrange instrument containers when not in transit.

• Communicate effectively with Surgery, Instrumentation Systems, and S&D staff.

• Monitor the case cart/supply process for each surgical case.

• Check case carts against preference cards for accuracy.

• Order and restock surgical and anesthesia supplies using handheld devices.

• Clean carts and bins per assigned schedule; rotate stock when replenishing.

• Return unused or overstocked supplies to their designated locations.

• Support hospital goals through education, training, and performance improvement activities.

• Maintain compliance with safety, aseptic technique, and unit standards.

Qualifications

• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage inventory.

• Comfortable using carousel, handheld computers, and inventory tools.

• Ability to communicate clearly and courteously with staff.

• Physically able to push/pull carts and handle heavy trays.

• Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented.
