The Department of Surgery at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC), is seeking a board certified/eligible, fellowship-trained, academic surgical oncologist.  The successful applicant will have demonstrated strong clinical capabilities in placing Hepatic Arterial Pumps for the management of patients with intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma or unresectable colorectal metastatic disease to the liver.  Additional responsibilities will include caring for patients with gastrointestinal malignancies. A demonstrated aptitude for multidisciplinary collaboration is critical. Experienced candidates with a proven ability to launch a HAIP Program are preferred, but new fellowship graduates with exceptional promise will be considered. Note that experience with the robotic platform is required. Faculty are expected to participate in the teaching of medical students and surgery residents, clinical and/or basic research, as well as patient care. Appointment as Instructor, Assistant or Associate Professor at Harvard Medical School will be commensurate with experience, training and achievements in addition to teaching activities.

Pay Range:

$328,800 - $670,900

The base pay range reflects what Harvard Medical Faculty Physicians at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (HMFP) reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this role at the time of posting and may be modified from time to time. Actual compensation within this range may be determined based on several factors, including academic appointment, work experience, specialty training, geography of work location, anticipated productivity, FTE basis, and role expectations. In addition to base compensation, this role may be eligible for performance-based incentives, which may include bonuses for productivity and quality HMFP also offers a comprehensive and generous employee benefits program to eligible employees, including health, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, as well as retirement plan(s) with employer contributions.
