Surgical Scheduler

Precision Healthcare Specialists is a trusted healthcare group committed to delivering quality patient care and seamless medical services. We are seeking a detail-oriented Surgical Scheduler to join our team. This role is essential to ensuring a positive experience for our patients across our network of specialists. 

Duties:

• Walk each patient through instructions about what must be done prior to surgery, what time they need to arrive, and let them know they will need to set up transportation home.
• Assist in any and all front desk duties, filing, scanning, and answering phones as time permits.
• Refers special requests, instrumentation, special needs to appropriate hospital or surgery center personnel.
• Schedules surgical appointment times using EMR and computer scheduling programs.
• Communicates with physicians and other healthcare team members to assure availability of facilities and staff.
• Communicates with patients and/or families to provide necessary pre-procedure instructions and to confirm appointments.
• Performs insurance verification and/or pre-authorization as necessary.
• Works with patients to coordinate check in times and pre-op instructions for surgery.

Schedule:

7:30AM-4:30PM M-F
