Supervisory Responsibility
Divisional/ Multi-Level: The job requires direct responsibility for the management of multiple departments with varying amounts of staff assigned to each. Collaborates daily surgery schedule and staff schedule. Provides leadership in the implementation of patient care strategies.
Materials Responsibility
Moderate: Work requires high responsibility for material resources. Examples of resources could include operating budgets for a work unit or department, specialized equipment, costly or unusual materials or supplies, building new charges for supplies, large amounts of cash or other material assets. The employee has a moderate amount of control over these resources. The cost of errors might result in moderate damage, waste or financial loss. The difficulty, variety and depth of problems associated with these material resources is moderately complex.

Position Specifications
Education: Bachelor's Degree or obtains within 3 years
Field of Study: Nursing
Special Training: Basic Life Support, ACLS PALS, Dependent Adult/Child Abuse Mandatory Training within timelines established in the Licensure, Registration, Certification and Life Saving training policy.
Training Preferred: Master’s Degree in Nursing
Licensure / Registration: Licensed Nurse in state of Iowa and Association of perioperative Room Nurses (AORN) membership Experience: Two year's experience in the Operating Room scrubbing. Two year's of experience of leadership
Interpersonal Skills
Interaction is with a variety of people inside and outside the organization. Communications are difficult or stressful in nature. Contact with others involves complex, detailed and often sensitive topics. The job requires a high degree of interpersonal skills to deal with a range of complicated problem situations. Working Conditions
There is limited exposure to moderately adverse and undesirable environmental conditions. There are some health and safety risks. Position may require safety equipment and precautions. The amount of time the employee may experience these moderate conditions is limited to 10% or less of their work day. Must be able to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/ or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/ or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Duties performed routinely require exposure to blood, body fluid and tissue. Hazards exposure to fumes, wet and/ or humid conditions, noise, gases, mechanical hazards, chemical hazards, electrical hazards, radiant energy hazards and burn hazards.
